Our Austell cosmetic dentists have a keen eye for aesthetics and bring an artistic touch to every procedure we perform. We can improve your smile in many ways, particularly if you dislike the size and shape of your teeth or the alignment of your bite. At Austell Dental Associates, we use the latest cosmetic dental technology to enhance your smile with high-quality treatments, as well as dental implants.
We Help Patients Look Their Best
We provide the following cosmetic dental services:
- Teeth Whitening: As one of the more commonly requested dental services we offer, professional teeth whitening is a way to brighten your smile and effectively eliminate coffee and tea stains; is much more effective than over-the-counter teeth whitening treatments.
- Dentures and Partials: Whether your teeth are broken, chipped, discolored, overly spaced, or have any number of other cosmetic issues, dentures can cover them up. Full and partial dentures are often preferred by patients because they mimic the feel and look of natural teeth, with little to no tooth reduction required. It can also drastically change the appearance of your face and positively impact your self-confidence.
Is Teeth Whitening Bad for Your Teeth?
Teeth whitening is considered safe and poses no harmful effects to your teeth. However, you may experience some side effects from whitening treatments. Your teeth can become more sensitive after teeth whitening, although the feeling may diminish with time. You may also experience irritated gums, known as gingival irritation, although this side effect generally goes away after the whitening treatment.
How Does a Partial Denture Work?
Partial dentures are used when full dentures are not needed, typically when one or more natural teeth remain in the mouth. Fixed bridge dentures replace teeth by placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the space and affixing artificial teeth to them. A removable partial denture consists of replacement teeth attached to a plastic base. A partial denture also prevents other teeth from shifting positions. A more natural-looking appliance is the precision partial denture. These are removable and have internal attachments that attach to the adjacent crowns.
